Are lab-grown diamonds real diamonds?

How are lab-grown diamonds different from mined diamonds?
The primary difference between lab-grown and mined diamonds is their origin. Mined diamonds are formed naturally over millions of years, while lab-grown diamonds are created in a laboratory within a matter of weeks. Additionally, lab-grown diamonds often have a more consistent color and clarity than mined diamonds.

Can I resize or repair lab-grown diamond jewellery?
Yes, lab-grown diamond jewellery can be resized and repaired just like mined diamond jewellery. However, it's best to have it done by a jeweler who specializes in lab-grown diamonds to ensure proper care and maintenance.

How do I know if a lab-grown diamond is of good quality?
Lab-grown diamonds are graded using the same 4Cs (carat, cut, clarity, and color) as mined diamonds. Look for a diamond with a high carat weight, excellent cut, good clarity, and a desirable color.

How do I care for lab-grown diamond jewellery?
Lab-grown diamond jewellery requires the same care as mined diamond jewellery. Clean it regularly with warm soapy water and a soft-bristled brush. Avoid harsh chemicals and ultrasonic cleaners.

What does 14k gold mean?

14k gold is 14 parts pure gold out of 24, which works out to 58.5% gold. The rest is a mix of metals such as silver, copper and zinc. This makes 14k gold harder and more durable than higher karat gold, so it holds diamonds securely and suits jewellery you wear every day.

Are lab-grown diamonds cheaper than mined diamonds?

Yes. A lab-grown diamond usually costs much less than a mined diamond of the same size and quality. The difference comes from how they are produced, not from how they look. Both are real diamonds with the same sparkle and hardness.

How do I find my ring size?

The easiest way is to use a ring that already fits the same finger. Measure its inside diameter in millimetres and share it with us, or send us a photo of the ring next to a ruler on WhatsApp and we will help you work out the size. Fingers are slightly larger in the evening, so that is the best time to measure.

Can I get a design customised?

Yes. You can ask for a different gold colour, a different diamond size or a completely new design. Share your idea, a sketch or a reference photo on our Custom Order page and we will get back to you with options.
